133 Years of History on Lake Como, a New Course Towards the Future.

Tasell was founded in 1892 by Pietro Grammatica, the first person in Italy to be decorated for water rescues. Since then, his passion for the lake and for public service has spanned generations, transforming into a true institution in Como. For over sixty years, Gianni Grammatica—the founder's grandson—was the face and soul of the company, a point of reference for residents, tourists, and anyone seeking information about Lake Como, the weather, or daily life on the lake.

Tasell is living history. It has accompanied the city's development, navigated two World Wars, experienced the tourism boom, and welcomed athletes, Hollywood actors, international singers, and hundreds of thousands of travelers enchanted by the waters of Lake Como.

In 2024, after over a century of operation under the guidance of the Grammatica family, Tasell, along with Tourist Boat Lario and Boatravel, became part of Gi. Bi. Resort S.p.A., a company owned by the Butti family, already active in the hospitality sector with historic properties like the Hotel San Gottardo. This is a significant transition that looks to the future without severing its roots: Edoardo Grammatica, Gianni's son, sits on the board of directors, testifying to the continuity and respect for the family's history.
